The recorder is located directly beneath an expansion joint on the edge of the underpass, the clonks and clanks of cars and trucks driving over the joint can clearly be heard, with the motorway noise reverberating in the underpass in the background. Recorded with a zoom h2 with a rycote windscreen, mounted on a boom pole. These are the rear channels, mics set to 120° dispersion.

A diesel flatbed tow truck idles for two minutes, moves the truck into position,backup warning beeps, moves the car back, adjusts the position of the truck once more, extends the rollback tilt-tray, connects the car, winches the car up, retracts the rollback tilt-tray, secures chains to the car, then drives off. A bobcat type of front loader (like a small bulldozer, not the wild animal) moving sections of tree across a yard to dump them in the metal bed of a truck.

Heavy equipment of various kinds working on a new four-lane highway. Diesel engines rumbling along, a tracked vehicle, distant warning beeps as equipment backs up, and the loud bangs of a dump truck tailgate as it unloads.

This sound was made by me, i tied down my canon powershot a460 digital camera inside the engine bay of my 1993 rover 620si, and it's got a petrol honda engine, no turbo on this version. I had my video recording on my camera in the engine bay while i was driving. I started the engine up and took it for a drive. I simply took the sound off the video. I videoed this sound of a subway train in glasgow scotland on the famous "clockwork orange" train as they are called. I used my canon powershot a460 digital camera to video this, i simply took the sound from the video. I was lucky enough to get a good run on this with just a few poeple on board, so there wasn't any other sound apart from the train, the only time you here some movement of feet is when the doors open. This is a sound of a mercedes benz 709d mini bus driving on a really hard icy road. It was a rattly old bus, everything squeaked and rumbled on it.
